Regional campus planning in the Philadelphia area brings daytime and undergraduate programs to Penn State Great Valley, and some administrative services are now shared by Penn State Brandywine and Great Valley. The Pittsburgh Center operated by Outreach is partnering with Penn State Beaver, Greater Allegheny, and New Kensington to offer certificate programs. As a result of collaboration among Penn State personnel at 15 campuses, primarily through electronic communication, the look and navigation of the campus Web sites was redesigned and launched in January 2011. University-wide, World Campus, Continuing Education, and the campuses have created a Penn State Video Learning Network (VLN) across the campuses to provide adult learners with more access to Penn State. Cooperative Extension is assessing their current office structure (an office in every county) and comparing it to a district based and regional/campus based model. Another model being examined is a ‘mixed’ model like the one in Lewistown that co-locates units such as Extension, Continuing Education, and a Small Business Development Center in one facility.
