Quality Advocates: Three Cross-unit Collaborative Innovation and Improvement Teams

Read about what three cross- unit and collaborative teams have accomplished:

  • Finance and Business, Research, and the Colleges of Agricultural Sciences, Earth and Mineral Sciences, Engineering, and Eberly Science worked on the use of biodiesel fuel.
  • Undergraduate Education and the Eberly College of Science improving the success of students in lower division math courses.
  • Penn State Altoona implemented a new registration process that provides more accurate enrollment and income information, and has reduced the number of non-registered students.

Publication: Penn State Berks in ASQ’s Quality Progress

“High Marks” by Paul Esqueda, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Mary Lou D’Allegro, Senior Director, Planning, Research, and Assessment at Penn State Berks will be published in the May 2010 issue of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Quality Progress. The article examines how Penn State Berks is applying continuous quality improvement’s Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to campus assessment and strategic planning.
