Objective:

The curriculum for BB H 324, the mandatory 3-credit training course for HealthWorks peer educators, was revised for fall 2012 semester.  To ensure the effectiveness of the updated curriculum, we will implement a pre-test/post-test evaluation to assess changes in peer educators’ knowledge of health issues and principles of health promotion, awareness of health resources, comfort with outreach skills, and student development.

Performance goals:

Upon administration of post-test evaluation following the completion of BB H 324:

  • 50% or more students will answer correctly for each of the 13 questions about health knowledge and health promotion principles.
  • The mean score for familiarity with campus health resources will be 4.0 or higher on a 5-point scale.
