Kimberly Baran is a Planning and Research Associate, Department of Planning and Institutional Research, in the Office of Planning and Assessment. She is responsible for providing analytical support and conducting institutional research in support of strategic planning, improvement, and institutional assessment initiatives.
Prior to her current appointment, Kim worked in the College of Engineering as the Coordinator of Global Engineering Education programs. In that role, she helped to streamline processes to assist engineering students wishing to gain international experience. She also analyzed data to understand the impact of international experiences, and advocated for the use of data to inform decision making for the most effective and efficient use of limited resources.
Kim has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, both from Penn State.
